Postby RoBoT LoVeR » Wed Jun 29, 2005 5:18 pm

Does anyone have a free Embedded C compiler? I tried to google it, but you have to pay for them.

Thanks.

GNU C compiler

Postby RoBoT LoVeR » Sun Jul 03, 2005 9:12 pm

I checked your linked below and I couldn't find a link to download the compiler. I also checked the text documet "how to use the GNU C compiler with 68hc11 and 68hc12" and found a link to download there. However, the link doesn't seem to be working.

Can you give me another link?

GNU compiler

Postby RoBoT LoVeR » Thu Jul 07, 2005 8:07 pm

I tried to use the GNU compiler, but when I went I installed it, all it is a bunch of web pages.

I went to the link you said:
and clicked on GNU C cross-compilers link (under the heading "EmbeddedGNU IDE") and then clicked on download. Then I clicked on the EXE download link and downloaded version 3.0.1(I am using windows 95).

I tried the installation documents, but I don't get what to do.

Can you help me?

Read the docs in the link that is how it you have to do it. HC11 and 9S12 are pretty much in the same category.
