Downloading program in RAM using D-Bug12

Postby maldeeb » Fri Aug 29, 2008 11:25 am

Hi,
I'm working on Adapt9S12DP512. I'm trying to download a program onto the microcontroller's RAM using MiniIDE. I've never used D-Bug12 before so I'm following the procedure detailed in Application Note AN1002 on the feaser website (Section 2 to be specific).

To make sure that I don't overwrite the D-Bug12 code that resides in RAM, I modified the RAM Segment that appears in HC12_Serial_Monitor_linker.prm file to the following:

RAM = READ_WRITE 0x1000 TO 0x3BFF;

The s19 file that gets generated is as follows:
S0030000FC
S123C000CF0900790011CC09395B105A124A800F204A8004200000C01BC01F000000000034
S104C020001B
S105FFFEC0003D
S2242080004C03800A10EF4A8000204C018020FBFEC017FDC015270E35ED31EC316970043434
S21C208020FB310326F2FEC019EC31270BED31180A30700434F920F10A8A
S804000000FB

I'm able to communicate with the board. I want to download my prgram at 0x1000. However, when I type in
LOAD 00001000
I get the following message:

*
Can't Write Target Memory

Can anyone please tell me how I can solve this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Mohamed

This is where all the action on HCS12 is:
http://forums.freescale.com/freescale/b ... =16BITCOMM

It is free to join, and the Freescale engineers and experienced development community are all there.

My advice to everyone is to go there and join.
