s19 created on linux box with gnu toolchain and microload

Postby emc2 » Wed Jun 25, 2008 7:20 am

I have an s19 file that I created on my linux box using m6811-elf-gcc.

I tried to load this file to the controller using the Microload program but the miicroload program failed to load it.

Should I be able to use the Microload program to download s19 files created on a linux box(or any other box for that matter)? For a given c program should all s19 files be identical regardless of where they were created?

That is correct. Check the linker settings for the hardware configuration. Usually a MicroLoad failure is caused by s-records in the RAM or register address range, or in non-existent memory address ranges.
